Throughout Jameel’s various ordeals in concert dance, he has had the opportunity to work with a myriad of choreographers.

In his tenure with Eleone Dance Theater, Jameel has had the chance to perform works choreographed by Dara Stevens-Meredith, Christopher Huggins,  Molly Misgalla, and Shawn Lamere-Williams.

As Jameel embarked on his ventures at Philadanco, his network expanded being able to perform works choreographed by notable choreographers such as, Talley Beatty, Dawn Marie Bazemore, Ron K. Brown, Anthony Burrell, Merce Cunningham, Thang Dao, Sonia Dawkins, Ulysses Dove, Rennie Harris, Christopher Huggins, and Tommie Waheed-Evans. It was during this time period where Jameel possessed the opportunity to perform iconic works in the world of concert dance such as “Bad Blood” (Ulysses Dove), ”Exotica” (Ron K. Brown), “Enemy Behind The Gates” (Christopher Huggins), and “A Rag, A Bone, and  A Hank of Hair” (Talley Beatty).

Following his time as a company member with Philadanco, Jameel  would go on to be selected by Tommie Waheed-Evans himself as a featured dancer with Waheed’s project based company Waheed Works for the 2022-2023 season. It was during this time where he would be featured in the critically acclaimed evening length production, “Bodies as Site of Faith and Protest”. Throughout the season, the cast would go onto perform this work at famed concert dance venues such as The Joyce Theater & Jacob’s Pillow.
